What to when someone dies

Amidst the grief of losing someone, there are some legal proceedings which must take place.

This can be difficult, particularly if you have never had to go through this before. At Turner and Wilson we are familiar with the proceedings and will be happy to guide you every step of the way.

If you would like to find out about it for yourself there is an extremely useful and comprehensive website which you can refer to, and is kept very up-to-date by the Bereavement Advice Centre. Website link - click here

There is a very useful "Tell us once" system which simplifies notifying government departments, you can find out more here. You will need a reference number which you will get when from the registrar when the death is registered.

Helpful hint: to avoid any unnecessay mail following the passing of your loved one, go to www.thebereavementregister.org.uk and complete the simple to follow form.
